Graduating High School Seniors Receive $39,000

We have been awarding 奖学金 to deserving high school seniors on their achievements for more than 40 years now. We are pleased to announce this year we have awarded $39,000 in 奖学金 to graduates across the United States. Many of the recipients are children of employees, and all are attending a two-year or four-year college 在秋天.

Each of our foundries and machine shops have selected its recipients and awarded the following 2018 奖学金:

Waupaca, Wisconsin - Headquarters and two gray iron foundries

• Iola-Scandinavia High School senior 林嘉欣雀 获得2000美元奖金 and will be attending 明尼苏达大学 学习西班牙语. She will be working at the Foundry this summer in the R&D办公室. Her dad, Mark Finch, works in maintenance at Waupaca铸造 headquarters.
• Iola-Scandinavia High School senior 考特尼Mallo 获得1,000美元奖金 and will attend 福克斯谷技术学院 to study safety engineering technology. She is an intern in the safety department at the Foundry this summer. Her dad, Jason Mallo, works in maintenance at Waupaca铸造 headquarters.

Marinette, Wisconsin ductile iron foundry

• Stephenson High School senior 佩奇Thoune 获得2000美元奖金, and she is attending Lake Superior State University 学习护理学. Her father, Brad Thoune, has been working at Waupaca铸造 for 20 years and is a shakeout operator.
• 佩什蒂戈高中高三 赛斯法院 获得1,000美元奖金 and will attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Marinette to pursue a degree in welding.
• Marinette High School seniror 玛拉Zuraski 获得1,000美元奖金 and will attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to study design and graphic technology.

Etowah, Tennessee ductile iron foundry

• McMinn Central High School senior Kaid黑 was awarded $1,500 and will be attending Tennessee Wesleyan University 在秋天 to study aerospace engineering.
• McMinn Central High School senior 瑞安Gambill was awarded $1,500 and will study biochemistry at 李大学.
• McMinn Central High School senior 布伦特菲利普斯 was awarded $1,500 and will attend University of Tennessee, Knoxville 在秋天 to study business management.
• McMinn County High School senior 猎人我们 was awarded $1,500 and will study mechanical engineering at University of Alabama in Huntsville.
• McMinn County High School senior 威廉•菲利普斯 was awarded $1,500 and will study management information systems at 贝尔蒙特大学.
• McMinn County High School senior 迪伦沃森 was awarded $1,500 and will attend Tennessee Wesleyan University 在秋天 to study mechanical engineering.

Effingham, Illinois machining center

Effingham High School seniors who all will attend 莱克兰德学院 在秋天.

• Kaleb布莱克 was awarded $500 and will study pre-engineering;

Tell City, Indiana gray and ductile iron foundry:

• Perry Central High School senior 布鲁克堰 was awarded $1,500 and will attend 印第安纳大学 to study physical therapy and exercise science. She is the daughter of Wayne Lasher, a 20-year employee, who is a sand lab technician. She will be working at Waupaca铸造 this summer.
• Perry Central High School senior 凯拉帕克 was awarded $1,500 and will attend 西肯塔基大学 学习心理学. She is the daughter of John Parker. He has been an employee for 21 years and is a millroom foreman.
• Perry Central High School senior 艾比Rogier was awarded $1,500 and will study dental hygiene at University of Southern Indiana 在秋天. She is the daughter of Marty Rogier, 21年的员工, who is a quality assurance analyst and machinist. Abby is also employed at Waupaca铸造 this summer.
• Perry Central High School senior 伊丽莎白黏性的 was awarded $1,500 and will attend the University of Southern Indiana to study physical therapy and exercise science.
